I promise, this is the last post for today :’) bunch of stuff just had piled up that I didn’t post to tumblr.
In 2017 I will be going to my first US comic convention as I will be tabling at Emerald City Comic Con with my boyfriend @tureekroos and I’m making a first ever artbooklet to sell there, consisting of my inked and penciled traditional artworks. These among with inktobers and hopefully some more!
I’m practising using nib pen. At first I thought I’d go for brush and gouache but it turned out linework was complicated with it, so I borrowed my boyfriends nib pens, which he uses to draw comics. (He currently doesn’t upload them anywhere. Boo!)
I’ve avoided ink like plague for long time but I’m trying to get more comfortable with it. I feel I’ve gotten better hang of pencil linework in general, so hopefully I can improve with ink, too.
I borrowed Hyamei’s character, hope you don’t mind! ♥ It seems Piper and Moon Fox crossed paths. Abby/hyamei has been very helpful and nice to me, with giving critique and showing all great resources and tutorials when I’ve been in a rut with art. I just wanted to express my thanks somehow and draw her lovely character, hope you get past your art rut, too!
I’m not very happy with my ink stuff though, but my new sketcbook has very rough and thick paper, so it’s tolerable :’) usually I just leak ink everywhere. I have ambitiously decided to fill page a day.
